Over-60s still in festive mood
Date published: 23 February 2009
MEMBERS of the Garden Suburb Over-60s Club certainly don’t do things by halves.
The group, which meets at the Pavilion on Green Lane, celebrated Christmas for a third time by way of yet another party — this time focusing on the last three month’s activities.
Chairman Janey Stott organised the Jacob’s Feast for 20 members of the group and held a presentation entitled “Christmas Memories”. She said: “We have had two Christmas parties before but this one was to mark activities in December.
“Everybody brought something in — from mince pies to cakes and sandwiches.”
