The chance to hear Britain’s most successful brass band comes to Uppermill on Saturday.
The Black Dyke players and their conductor and musical director, Dr Nic Childs, will perform some of brass bands’ best known music.
Black Dyke is the most recorded band in the world with over 300 recordings and is also the most successful contesting band, having won the British Open 29 times, most recently 2006, and the National Championships 21 times, most recently in 2008.
In 2007 they were invited to take part in the BBC Promenade Concerts, at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
A few tickets are still available from Uppermill Post Office or from promoter Phil Beck on 07976 165815.
