IN THE PINK . . . fan Chris McGrath, Latics chairman Simon Blitz, defender Danny Jones and fan Tony Muir with Chaddy the Owl
LATICS have taken delivery of a consignment of pink scarves — rushed through from the manufacturers — as the the big televised clash with Leeds United gets nearer.
It’s five days and counting to when Latics will run out — in front of the Sky TV cameras and a nationwide audience — in a specially commissioned all-pink kit.
It’s all in a fantastic cause as a major fund-raising effort for the new Victoria breast cancer unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
And the scarves will be helping boost the charity coffers as Latics will be donating a percentage of the proceeds of all sales to the charity. The scarves are now on sale in the club shop
It should all help add more pink to the terraces as Latics look to Latics fans to “go pink” in a bid to raise the charity-evening’s profile.
Your Chronicle will be at Monday’s big game taking photographs of the crowd and if you are picked out in Tuesday’s newspaper you will win one of ten free Latics match tickets.
