BUDDING entrepreneurs from Oldham Sixth Form College got a glimpse of what the future could hold when they quizzed business leaders.
Around 280 students got an insight into the business world when five speakers from a range of companies took the stage at the college’s annual Business Studies Conference.
The event revealed first-hand accounts of how people manage their businesses from company boss Danny Fairburn, Peter Birch, a director at Deloitte, Abul Aham, recruiting supervisor at Enterprise Car Rental, Paul Davies, purchasing manager and health and safety officer at Wienerberger, and Mehul Barot, customer liaison manager at British Gypsum.
Jim Barr, business studies and accounting course leader at the college, said: “It was an invaluable opportunity for our students to meet people who work in the kind of businesses they are learning about in their course.”
