A 92-year-old man has won the top prize in a survey across Saddleworth.
Victor Smith, from Dobcross, claimed a £100 windfall at the end of a major consultative exercise by Saddleworth Parish Council.
A 10-page questionnaire was sent to 13,500 Saddleworth households to help form a future blueprint for a parish plan across the community.
Councillor Mike Buckley, chairman of the council’s parish plan working party, said: “Residents have made their views very clear. This is a great help to us in drafting the parish plan and it strengthens our hand in negotiating for improved services in Saddleworth.
“And I can’t think of a more appropriate person to win the prize.
“Mr Smith has seen more changes in Saddleworth than any of us.”
