McDonalds chip for sale on ebay
FROM unwanted wedding dresses to concert tickets and houses to holidays — you can buy almost anything on eBay.
Now a mystery Oldhamer is selling something they say is unique — a sprouting McDonalds chip bought at the chain’s town centre store in High Street.
The seller has placed the item online for a minimum bid of 99p and the auction ends on Tuesday.
In the description box, the seller says: “Amazing chip-box find — one McDonalds fry in desperate need of a haircut. Mythical, these are so rare that this is the only one I have ever seen and having enjoyed possession of it for the afternoon, I offer it for sale by auction so that future generations can enjoy it. I did consider donating it to the local museum, but as we all know what these things are worth in this condition, I cannot simply give it away.
“This magnificent example was bought at McDonalds Oldham. I used a napkin to transport it home with great care, as can be seen in the photo. Negotiations can be made with the winning bidder as to postage care, and possible hairspray preservation.
“Don’t miss this chance to own your own furry fry. I would exchange this for some marbles as I have lost mine, but eBay don’t allow swaps.”
