Date published: 03 March 2009
NEW Deal for Communities is asking residents for their views on an exciting £2.8 million Sportszone development in Fitton Hill.
The plan is to bring disused football pitches behind the Centre of Professional Development (CPD), on Rosary Road, back into use for football tournaments, basketball, rugby and an array of other sports activities. The consultation will take place at the CPD on Thursday between 2-4pm and 5.30-7.30pm.
Residents will get to view the plans and will be given details of the £2.8m scheme which includes new all-weather, floodlit pitches.
The NDC programme will invest £1.8m and are bidding for funding from the Football Foundation.
