Meacher’s climate speech

ENVIRONMENTALLY-conscious residents and businesses can find out about local renewable energy opportunities at a special event in Oldham.

MP Michael Meacher will speak on “Climate change: the challenge we face”, and there will be talks by Councillor Mark Alcock, Dr Ali Abbas of Manchester along with others.

The event is being organised by Oldham & Tameside Friends of the Earth, and is being held at the One World Centre, Connaught Street, Oldham, on Friday, March 13 at 7.30pm.
