GUESTS enjoyed a glittering night complete with cabaret for Shaw and Crompton Parish Council’s chairman’s reception.
The event at Crompton House School featured Cheshire assistant chief constable David Baines, who used to lead Oldham police, as guest speaker and music from a Tina Turner tribute act and a disco.
The chairmen of Saddleworth, Whitworth, Ripponden and Mossley councils and Oldham’s Mayor were all among the dignitaries attending Councillor Hazel Gloster’s bash. Proceeds from the event will go to the chairman’s chosen charities Kickstart and Diabetes UK.
