CLUB night Rude Oldham has found a new home at one of the town centre’s premier nightspots.
As Rude gears up to celebrate its 15th birthday, clubbers can get their house music fix at The Castle in Union Street.
Organisers have been on the hunt for a new venue since Club 360 at Gallery Oldham closed its doors almost three years ago.
The Castle has been given the full Rude makeover with a brand new covered and heated outdoor terrace complete with sound and light systems and a DJ box.
Sound and lighting will also be improved inside the venue and the entire place will be revamped.
Room One will feature underground electronic house while Room Two will concentrate on soulful, funky house.
At the Residents’ Launch Party on Saturday, DJs Oz, Mike Thewlis, James Teehan, Debbie White, Vicki Etherton, Danny Kay, Mark Fleming, Danny Knight and Bass Jockeys will be spinning the decks.
DJ Oz said: “Ever since Club 360 shut there’s only one venue we have wanted to move to in Oldham and that’s The Castle.
“We know The Castle is predominantly a live music venue and has a great reputation for putting on great music and now, for one Saturday a month, it will be turned into Oldham’s coolest clubbing destination.
“We hope to see all Rude’s regulars at the Castle launch party on Saturday — it’s definitely another Rude night not to be missed.”
