Beer festival countdown

Drinkers can enjoy more than 80 real ales and ciders at the Oldham Beer Festival this month.
The Queen Elizabeth Hall will host the 23rd Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) festival on March 21 and 22. There will also be music from Rockabilly Fever on Friday night, with 50s rock and roll, and Jog the Memory on Saturday evening, featuring ’60s, ’70s and ’80s songs. Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, the Oldham Educational Trust, Oldham Cancer Support Centre and the neo-natal intensive care and diabetes units at the Royal Oldham Hospital are all set to benefit through the Mayor’s Appeal.
