Have your GP say, but no time to delay

PEOPLE still have time to fill out the annual GP Patient Survey and have their say on local services — but time is running out.

The survey, which is the biggest of its kind and has been sent to around 36,000 addresses across the borough and five million across the country, ends on April 6.

It will help to ensure that GP practices in Oldham continue to improve and will ask people about the access to and the quality of GP services and if they are getting the basics right.

This year, it will ask people with long-term conditions such as asthma, detailed questions about how they rate the care given to them.

Jennifer Richards, practice manager at Dr Addy and Nelson’s practice in Glodwick, said: “It’s important that patients let us know what they think and a really easy way to do this is by completing the patient survey.

“I would advise all patients who receive a survey to complete it and send it back as soon as possible.”

Last year’s survey highlighted concerns across the country about GP opening times and called for more convenient opening times.
