High-profile women at East meets West

WOMEN across Oldham can meet high-profile female speakers at a reception being organised by Saddleworth and Oldham East MP Phil Woolas.

The reception will feature such speakers as Oldham-born QC and MP Vera Baird, the Solicitor General, and Sameem Ali, Labour councillor for Moss Side in Manchester and author of the highly-rated book “Belonging”.

The event, East Meets West, Women And Equality, will also feature North-West Euro MP Arlene McCarthy and Barrister Yasmin Qureshi, who was head of the Criminal Legal Section of the UN Mission in Kosovo.
