Cable repairs force two-day road closure
Date published: 19 March 2009
MOTORISTS will face disruption in Delph when High Street and part of King Street are closed for two days.
Repairs to a defective underground electricity cable on Delph Bridge will mean the roads will be closed to traffic on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29 respectively.
The A6052 High Street will close from its junction with Denshaw Road, Delph Lane, and Hill End Road to King Street. The A6052 King Street will close from High Street to its junction with Gartside Street and Lawton Square.
An alternative route in both directions goes via Delph Lane, Huddersfield Road A62, The Sound, Millgate, and King Street. The bridge is open to pedestrians.
