A HEARTLESS robber preyed on an elderly pensioner and her severely disabled grand-daughter.
The thug disturbed the 70-year-old woman’s wheel-chairbound grand-daughter before fleeing with a laptop in Peveril Terrace, Hyde, at 12.30am on Thursday.
He returned to the house an hour later, knocking the pensioner to the ground and making off with a jewellery box which contained a silver square-faced Ingersoll watch and a gold chain adorned with the word “grandma”.
The raider is described as white, in his early 20s, of slim build, between 5ft 5in and 5ft 7in tall, with short fair hair.
Police Constable David Montgomery, said: “Sometimes you come across a crime that makes you sick, and this is one such incident.
“The thief has deliberately targeted the house because he has seen it as an easy target. His actions defy words.”
