Death of group’s stalwart

Doreen Walker

DOREEN Walker, who was twice President of Soroptomist International of Oldham, has died.

Mrs Walker was a member of the group for almost 30 years and held the presidency in 2003 and 1992.

She leaves behind sons Michael and Scott, grandchildren Hayley, Brett, Josh and Anya and great-grand-daughter Kate.

Husband Errol, a respected jeweller and Rotarian, died in 2002.

There will be a service at St Mary’s Church, High Crompton, on Monday at 1.45pm, prior to interment at Crompton Cemetery.
