OLDHAMERS can find out more about joining the fire service as well as getting some vital home fire safety advice as part of a new scheme. Oldham Borough Fire Service has taken over an empty office in the Spindles Shopping Centre, provided by the centre’s managers.
The service’s recruitment department will be there to inform the public about the opportunities that exist in the fire service.
Visitors can then receive a home fire risk assessment as well as free smoke alarms. Fire officers will be at Spindles for the next six weeks.
