St Martin’s CE Primary School have joined the growing number of Oldham children keeping fit and staying health with children’s charity MedEquip4Kids.
Pupils at St Martin’s Primary School in Fitton Hill have been learning how to keep healthy and active as well as raising money for MedEquip4Kids.
Youngsters took part in the charity’s education programme, Get Active with Pip, which visits primary schools across the region teaching the pupils to be as healthy as possible.
MedEquip4Kids school presenter Heather Illingworth spoke to the children about the importance of following a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, personal hygiene and exercise.
In return the pupils raised £497 which will be spent providing hospitals and community health teams across the region with medical equipment to ensure children and babies receive the best possible treatment when sick or injured.
As a thank-you, MedEquip4Kids presented the school with a pack full of sports equipment. Pupils are pictured with some of the equipment, and the tally for the money they raised.
