A LOTTERY winner brought some much-needed cheer to children at Moorside Pre-School when he dropped in with free Easter eggs for everyone.
Tommy Cone, of Ripponden Road, Moorside, bought 48 chocolate eggs for the children who were left devastated when burglars stole toys and bikes a few months ago.
Pre-school owner Janet Clegg said Tommy, who scooped £4.2 million on the lottery in 2003, helped at the time of the break-in by paying towards a security fence.
She added: “Tommy has been a great help. The children were absolutely thrilled with the eggs and showed them off to everyone.”
