BREAD, milk, crime prevention advice. . . . shoppers at Tesco’s Failsworth store picked up a little extra when the Failsworth and Hollinwood Neighbourhood Policing Team hosted a surgery there and shoppers talked to officers about their crime concerns.
Polices gave away a limited number of door bars and door viewers provided by Failsworth councillors on a first-come, first -served basis.
PCSO Andrew Longsden said: “This was a good opportunity for people to meet their local officers andreceive crime prevention advice. Neighbourhood Policing is all about listening to people and working closely with the community and our partners to ensure we improve people’s quality of life.”
