Family’s tribute to hit-run victim

THE family of a man who was run over and killed in Middleton on Saturday have spoke of their heartbreak.
Sean Keane from Alkrington, was hit by a Seat Leon in Townley Street at 7.40pm.
The 23-year-old worked as a ventilation fitter. He leaves behind long-term girl friend Emma.
His family, including parents Irene and James, and sister Cheryl have paid tribute to Sean.
They said: “Sean will be deeply missed by all. His younger sister saw him as a best friend. He had qualities that made him the perfect brother, son, cousin, nephew, boyfriend and friend.
“He had a constant buzz for life and we shared so many laughs with him. He was at the centre of the worlds of many people, and he didn’t even know it.
“He was as close as a brother to his cousins. The many people who knew him are heartbroken.”
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in police custody for questioning.
A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident remains in police custody.
