Patient surge

A patient surge on the last three Mondays has been putting accident and emergency staff under strain at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Reasons for the hike include patients not utilising weekend services.
Simon Payler, director of operations, said: “The last three Mondays have been very demanding.”
