Cookery class takes biscuit for Easter
Date published: 03 April 2009
YOUNG and old joined forces to whip up a culinary storm in time for Easter.
Pupils at Royton Hall Primary School hold regular activity sessions with pensioners at the Orchard House Day Care Centre.
They visit Orchard House at Christmas, Easter and at the end of term to sing songs and make decorations.
This term, the children were working on a cookery project so the Orchard House gang paid a visit to help them make Easter biscuits.
The school won a Pride in Oldham Award in 2007 to honour its work with Orchard House and other places in the local community.
Activities are now being planned for next term as pupils prepare to move from Byron Street to their new school in High Barn Road in September.
