UPPERMILL Football Club has new balls, goals and training bibs thanks to local bus company First.
The club, which runs free weekly coaching sessions for hundreds of youngsters, has received a £560 donation.
Pam Preston, who works at the First bus depot in Oldham, and volunteers at the club, said: “We wanted to give these youngsters the chance to take part in free coaching sessions every Friday and spend a bit of time having fun with other members of the community and, thanks to donations like First’s, we can continue to do so.”
The club, based on Leafields Road, provides coaching and sports facilities for a range of age groups and runs community sessions every Friday from 5.30pm for four to 16 year-olds.
