PEOPLE can enjoy a right good singsong at Chadderton’s Washbrook Community Centre thanks to a £600 grant.
The money was donated by local councillors Dave Hibbert, David Jones and Joy Wrigglesworth to buy a second-hand piano for the centre in Nelson Way.
They paid for it from the £3,000 budgets which are delegated to every councillor to support local good causes.
Councillor Hibbert was delighted to help with the request from one of the centre users and said: “It seemed like a good idea and a bargain so we went ahead with it.”
