Bully hit his girl with her own bag

A man who twice attacked his partner was branded a “violent bully” by a judge in Manchester.
After getting drunk, David Thompson (24) smashed Vicky Ciatar in the face with her own handbag, causing cuts and bruises.
And on another boozy night out, he head-butted her, causing her nose to bleed profusely, said prosecutor Tess Kenyon.
District Judge Alan Berg, sitting at the city’s magistrates’ court, said he was amazed that Miss Ciatar still wanted to continue living with Thompson.
“The loyalty of some women makes my mind boggle at times, I just don’t understand it,” he said.
“It never ceases to amaze me that women who are battered black and blue stand by their men,” the judge added.
Thompson, of Beulah Court, Byron Street, Oldham, admitted to twice assaulting Miss Ciatar causing her bodily harm.
He was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered to attend a domestic violence programme.
The judge told him: “This was drunken bullying behaviour and it has got to stop or you will end up behind bars”.
