Wine shop booze fine
Date published: 14 April 2009
A SECOND off-licence in Hollinwood has been issued with a fixed penalty £80 fine as part of an underage booze crackdown.
A member of staff at California Wines, in Hollins Road, was issued with the fine for serving a 15-year-old with alcohol and not asking for identification.
This follows similar fines issued to staff at Hollins Road Off-Licence, Hollinwood, and Ziggy’s, in Propps Hall Drive, Failsworth, last week.
Officers from the Failsworth and Hollinwood Neighbourhood Policing Team issued the fixed penalty notices as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and underage drinking.
