Young actors on show at Gallery
Date published: 15 April 2009
WANNABE thespians took the chance to prove just how talented they are at a Gallery Oldham performance.
Over the past few months, girls from Grange School have been working with Coliseum writers and director Joyce Branagh to create a play made up of individual monologues reflecting their own unique voices.
Fellow pupils, teachers and parents were invited to watch the performance along with Coliseum and library staff. The Coliseum’s education and outreach programme was set up to help make performing arts accessible to everyone and encourages anyone with an interest in theatre to get involved. Jenny Penton, from the Coliseum, said: “This event is an exciting chance to showcase the excellent work young people have produced.”
