HISTORY came to life for youngsters at Lyndhurst Primary who took a trip back to Ancient Greece.
School uniform was replaced by Greecian costume as pupils from Year 5 were encouraged to dress as Greek soldiers, citizens, gods or mythical creatures.
During the day, they made and decorated pots, and performed a song about the Greek empire to the rest of the school.
Pupils spent several weeks studying the era, which included a visit to Manchester Art Gallery. A mini Olympic Games rounded off their hard work with the winners awarded honours including olive wreath crowns and certificates.
