Climber’s ledge fall rescue

A ROYTON climber is recovering at home after falling 50ft down a mountain in the Lake District.
Marcus Buckley (31) was on Lower Falcon Crag, Borrowdale, Keswick, on Sunday afternoon when a ledge collapsed.
Members of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called out and Mr Buckley was treated at the scene for head and suspected spinal injuries.
He was winched into an RAF Sea King rescue helicopter which took him to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
