KEEN litter-pickers spent two hours sprucing up Grotton as part of an annual spring clean.
Six residents filled a trailer with black bin-liners full of bottles, cans and rubbish.
Organised by Grotton Residents’ Association, the clean-up was supported by Oldham Council’s street-cleaning service.
Alicia Marland, association chair, said: “It went brilliantly well and residents walking past us commented on how nice and tidy it looked.
“More volunteers are needed to join us on the next clean-up and to become members of Grotton Residents’ Association. Anyone interested should call 0161-624 5636.”
