Latics fans remember Ernie
Date published: 30 April 2009
LATICS players past and present will be on hand to talk to fans at a special event to remember former player Ernie Cooksey.
Cooksey, who won the hearts of Latics fans when he played for the club in 2003/4, died from skin cancer last year, aged 28.
Proceeds from Sunday’s event at the Rifle Range Inn, Chadderton, which kicks-off at 3pm — will go to the Christie Hospital. There will be a question and answer session with Simon Corney, raffles, auctions, a barbecue and a bouncy castle.
