Fusilier Adam Dixon
ROYTON Fusilier Adam Dixon has scooped a top award after months of hard hitting Army training.
The 21-year-old has completed the 26-week combat infantryman’s course at the training centre in Catterick, North Yorkshire.
Platoon commander, Captain Bjorn Rose, said: “Fusilier Dixon is very athletic, he has shown an enthusiasm and drive to complete a very demanding course. He’s worked hard and with dedication to get to this point. I’m sure this has been a major factor in him achieving the Best at Physical Training award in the platoon.”
Adam, a former North Chadderton School pupil, said: “I’ve got a lot out of training, like increased confidence and some really good friends. Plus the fact that I am a combat infantryman means I’m the tip of the spear.”
After some well-earned leave Adam will be posted to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in Fallingbostal, Germany.
