Man held over drug farm

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered at a house in Moorside.
Police searched the address in Hayfield Close just after 8.30am yesterday and found a cannabis farm consisting of 25 large plants in one bedroom.
The man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and is currently being questioned by officers.
Police Community Support Officers had delivered leaflets in the area informing residents of the police activity.

The police search was part of Operation Dragonfly, which was set up in 2007 to crack down on cannabis farms across the region and to disrupt the supply of cannabis.
