Diversity festival seeks volunteers
Date published: 11 May 2009
VOLUNTEERS are being sought for this year’s Festival of Diversity, which runs from July 12 to August 8.
Last year, more than 30 people volunteered for the festival, and this year three new volunteer roles have been created.
One of the roles on offer is for a social marketing assistant, or for those with less time to spare, they can support the festival by becoming an ambassador.
A team of reporters is also being sought to record the festival events.
The festival office is running a training session for budding reporters on Saturday, June 6, from 10-5pm, at the Oldham Coliseum. To book a place contact the festival office.
Also on offer is the opportunity to work alongside the festival photographer, or people can assist the events as an event/project support volunteer.
To find out more about any of these roles visit www.festivalofdiversity.co.uk/volunteer, or call Sian at the festival office on 0161-785 7016.
