AREA logos such as Chadderton’s red griffin could be included on councillors’ correspondence.
Councillor Dave Hibbert has been pushing for the move, saying it would fit in perfectly with the borough’s new slogan “one borough, many communities”.
If agreed, it would mean that councillors from Saddleworth to Failsworth could use local symbols on their letters alongside the borough’s “polo mint” logo, designed as part of the council’s £500,000 re-branding.
