FIRE scene . . . flats above Moza Bites
A MAN jumped from his burning flat on to the roof of a police van.
A quick-thinking officer moved the vehicle below the window when the fire started in the first-floor property above Moza Bites restaurant and takeaway in Rochdale Road, Coldhurst.
Firefighters also led a woman from the blaze at 1.45am on Saturday after cutting through a padlocked gate, the only entrance to the four flats above the restaurant.
Three crews from Oldham and Chadderton attended the incident at the junction of Magdal Street which is believed to have been started by tea light candles.
A worker from the restaurant said the owner, who does not speak English, also owns the flats
