HEALTH and wellbeing services in Werneth are being given a major shot in the arm — and residents are to get a say.
A new primary care centre will be built near the former St John’s Church in Featherstall Road South, and the new services will be discussed at a meeting on Thursday.
The centre, the latest in a network of developments across Oldham, will house several local GP practices and provide a wide range of health and well-being services under one roof.
Feedback collected from the meeting will be used to help ensure new services best meet the needs of the patients.
Shauna Dixon, director of clinical leadership at NHS Oldham said: “This is a genuine opportunity for people to say what they think and help ensure they get the health services they need.”
Two sessions are being held between 12.30pm and 3.15pm and 5.45pm and 8.30pm. These will be held in room three at Werneth Park Lifelong Services, Werneth Park Centre, Fredrick Street.
A translator will be available, food and drinks will be provided, and there is free parking and disabled access.
