The Mayor, Councillor Jim McCardle (left), is pictured with (from the left) Dorothy Cadman, of Delta Cabs, John Garforth, principal licensing officer at Oldham Council, and Iltaf Hussain, of Cartax.
DELTA cars proved its firmly on the road to success as it scooped top marks in a new council rating system.
The Huddersfield Road company earned four stars from Oldham Council, a feat also achieved by Cartax, of High Street, Lees.
The top rating shows that a company not only has excellent customer service and driver knowledge, but that it has introduced a vehicle testing contract into the running of the firm, in addition to the existing council test, and has a percentage of drivers trained in first aid.
