A BUSINESS in Chadderton has won a gold award for best service to independent retailers for the second year running.
Widdop Bingham is an established supplier to the gift trade throughout the country and scooped the accolade at the Gift Retailer Awards held in London.
Last year, the firm celebrated its 125th anniversary and it is still owned and run by the same family.
Managing director Stuart Illingworth said: “We are living through an unprecedented period of turmoil in the economy where trading is increasingly challenging.
“Companies are having to work harder and smarter than ever before to provide a first-class service to their customers.
“At Widdop Bingham we have continued to invest in the service and the products we offer all our customers.
“Winning the gold award for the second year has required a huge team effort throughout the business.
“Commitment from all our staff has been critical in providing a first-class customer service, and without it, this award would not have happened.”
