Horses for courses

The legendary Thwaites Brewery shire horses will make a guest appearance in Diggle on Saturday as part of a family fun day.
The horses will travel through the village at about 12.45pm before arriving at Diggle Band Club where a lively schedule of music and happenings will take place.
In addition to Diggle Band, the Cherry Hinton Blue Grass Band will entertain and there will be nail art, face painting, a family disco and karaoke.
A spokesman said: “We have been trying to arrange a visit of the horses for more than two years but such is their popularity at shows and events this was the earliest we could get them.”
Everyone, including non-members, is welcome at the event.
