PICNIC in the park; families from Failsworth Children's Centre
A PICNIC in the park could prove a record-breaking event for families marking National Family Week.
Parents and youngsters from Failsworth Children Centre, Propps Hall Drive, joined in the Guinness World Record Picnic attempt, held at parks throughout the country, with a two-course picnic at Daisy Nook Country Park.
Lisa Rylance, family engagement worker, said: “We had about 28 people attend and the weather was glorious.
“Each family brought their two-course picnic and afterwards we enjoyed games and activities.
“We decided to take part on the event as a way of getting families to spend more time together and build stronger relationships.
“Hopefully, we will be told if we have set a new world record once all the information has been collected.”
