ONE size fits all healthcare could soon be a thing of the past thanks to the development of tailored services designed to suit individual needs.
NHS Oldham is asking the public how future developments can be shaped at a series of community-based events.
The next two sessions will take place in Shaw when residents can find out about plans for the new primary health care centre.
The facility, one of a network of developments across Oldham, will re-house two existing GP practices. It will also offer access to community health services such as district nurses, health visitors, pharmacy and dentistry services along with more specialist services that are traditionally found in a hospital.
Colin Scales, director of commissioning at NHS Oldham, said: “We want people to feel they have helped to develop services and that they are helped to stay fit and well because of them.”
The sessions take place tomorrow at St Paul’s Methodist Church, Rochdale Road, Shaw, from 12.30-3.15pm or 5.15-8pm. Call 0161-621 5924 to book a place.
