Party pamphlet printing attack
Date published: 02 June 2009
Political parties fighting for North-West seats in the European elections have been accused of turning their backs on regional industries.
Liberal Democrat Euro-MP Chris Davies has challenged other parties to explain why they have diverted hundreds of thousands of pounds of printing work to other parts of the country.
He says the North-West Liberal Democrats are the only party to have had its main election communication leaflets printed entirely in the region.
Mr Davies said: “Our local businesses have done a great job printing our leaflets and I am disappointed that none of the other parties has felt able to go local.”
