Fun in the sun for park-goers
Date published: 02 June 2009
CHADDERTONIANS basked in glorious sunshine as a special fun day saw the Whit weekend off to a sizzling start.
Residents made for Chadderton Hall Park in their droves to enjoy a host of activities organised by five Chadderton churches.
Face-painting, bouncy castles, a climbing wall and a lively puppet show kept youngsters busy, while Christian music acts entertained the adults.
The five North Chadderton churches arrange the community fun day each year and this year was a real cracker.
Cybil Lamb, who helped to arrange the event, said: “This has always been a well-loved event, but the sunshine made it even better this time around.”
