A TEAM of local walkers completed the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the spinal injuries charities, Aspire.
The 12-strong group, led by 37-year-old Michael Keating, were inspired by their friend Andrew Walker who was left paralysed from the neck down following an accident in India three years ago.
The 25-mile challenge takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (2,276ft), Whernside (2,415ft) and Ingleborough (2,372ft) in one circular route.
The team raised £1,600 for Aspire to thank it for supporting Andrew through his rehabilitation.
Andrew said: “Aspire provides more than just funding and equipment, it gives you the incentive, support, friendship and inspiration to reach for the stars.”
