Taxi robbery: do you know these men?
Date published: 05 June 2009

RECOGNISE these three? If so, the police would like to hear from you
THESE are the three men police want to speak to in connection with the robbery of a taxi driver at knifepoint.
The appeal follows an incident when a taxi picked up three men outside the Lock pub in Failsworth and drove them to Kingsway in Burnage on April 24.
Two of the men got out of the car and walked off, but one stayed in the back seat and then reached around the front driver’s seat and held a knife to the driver’s throat.
He demanded takings and stole cash before running off.
Det Cons Paul Jackson of South Manchester CID said: “This man was simply doing his job yet he was left in fear of his life.
“We would like to speak to the men in the picture as they may be able to help us with our inquiries. If you recognise them or you are one of the men in the picture, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0161-856 6074 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
