MEDIA and film students from Oldham Sixth Form College have a date with former “EastEnders” star Todd Carty.
Three teams from the college have been selected to pitch their ideas for a community TV programme to a Dragons’ Den-style panel of experts including the actor, who played Mark Fowler on Albert Square.
A gold, silver and bronze award will be up for grabs at the national final of the Wordskills UK Moving Image Competition in Coventry on Tuesday.
Pupils from the college have scooped seven medals since they first entered competitions run by the organisation in 2004.
Tutor Fiona Douglas-Reeves said: “Our students will be competing against some of the finest media and creative talent Britain has to offer, so they’ll really have to sell their ideas to the judges.”
