A FUND-RAISING event to mark the first anniversary of tragic Emma Holt’s death has been hailed a huge success.
The bubbly and popular 21-year-old pharmacy assistant, from Lees, suddenly collapsed and died after suffering a heart arrhythmia while visiting friends on May 28, last year. Emma’s father Michael (59) lost his battle with liver cancer only eight days later. The money raised during the event at Springhead Football Club has not yet been counted as donations are still pouring in.
Some of the activities on the day included an assault course and dancing. Emma’s brother Matt said: “The event couldn’t have been any better and was a huge success. It was held in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
“Tracey Owen, sister of Take That star Mark, sang to backing music tracks.”
