Atherton clarification

THE EVENING Chronicle has been asked to make clear that Failsworth’s Chris Atherton, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, did not collide with another vehicle, causing it to overturn, but is alleged to have changed lanes.

Peter Rushton (64), from New Moston, a passenger in the overturned Vauxhall Corsa, died at the scene after the M61 crash on May 24.
